It's sad, but true, weddings do get canceled after the gown has been bought and paid for. Some wedding retail shops will sell these gowns at substantial discounts. Try consignment shops. These aren't hand me down thrift store shops but carry merchandise from only a season or two ago.
There are even consignment shops that focus on wedding apparel from the bride to the flower girl, even tuxedos for the guys.
